Day 01 – Airport to Colombo
Upon arrival, we will take you to the Hotel in Wattala, where you stay the first night. In the afternoon you take a city tour of Colombo & you will visit the main temples, Independence Square, Old Wolvendaal Church and the colonial Galle Face Green. You can enjoy the taste of Ceylon tea at a restaurant before go back to the hotel.
Day 02 – Colombo to Galle
On the way to Galle, you can take a boat ride at on the Madhu River, where you pass islands, villages and mangrove forests. After this you visit a traditional mask factory in Ambalangoda . The colorful masks used for traditional dances and puppet shows . You can enjoy the beauty of Galle during the tour & our travel guide will take you to the world famous Dutch port in Galle
Day 03 – Galle to Bandarawela via Udawalawa
Today you are going to travel through the country, from south coast to middle of the country. Afternoon, you can take a jeep safari in Udawalawa national park, the home of wild elephants & many other animals. On the way to Bandarawela, you can visit Rawana falls & world famous Ella gap.
Day 04 – Bandarawela to Kandy via Nuwara Eliya
Amazing trip through the cool windings in the morning. Along the way you admire the beautiful Ramboda Falls and of course visit a tea plantation and plant . During a short city tour you will pass some British relics . Then continue to the royal city of Kandy, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List
Day 05 – Kandy & Pinnawala
Start the day with a visit to the beautiful botanical gardens of Peredeniya, established in 1814. Then go to Pinnawela, where you will visit the famous elephant orphanage. Afternoon visit to world famous Temple of Tooth, which makes this town a World Heritage by UNESCO & enjoy cultural dance show in the evening.
Day 06 – Kandy to Sigiriya Via Dambulla
Today you travel further north into the heart of the Cultural Triangle of Sri Lanka. At Matale you visit a batik workshop and a herb garden. You drive to Dambulla which houses an impressive temple complex, entirely carved out of the rocks. From the top you have a wonderful view of the surroundings. Finally you reach Sigiriya, where you can enjoy again two nights in the same accommodation.
Day 07 – Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa
This morning visit Polonnaruwa, also a former capital & second kingdom in Sri Lanka with many more ancient places to visit. The complex Gal Vihare admiring four huge Buddha statues which are all cut from a single rock. In the afternoon, you will climb the impressive Lion Rock Sigiriya, which is on the World Heritage List. The 1800 act storey rock dominates the area. You will enjoy the stunning view of the surroundings when you climb to the top.
Day 08 – Sigiriya to Mount Lavinia
Start the day, & visit Mount Lavinia, located just south of Colombo. This colonial-style beach resort is set on a wide private beach. It is a beautiful home to spend the last night in Sri Lanka. You can enjoy dinner with sea food at a restaurant or if needed, have a drink as your choice.
Day 09 – Mount Lavinia to Airport
During the morning you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the airport.
